Toyota Wish 2016 is a upcoming model of 7 passenger mini-van that’s been produced by Toyota since 2003. It is being assembled in Japan and in South-East Asia and it’s slotted between Toyota Ipsus and Toyota Spacio, in this manufacturer’s MPV class. Current model is second generation vehicle since 2009, and apart from Japan it is sold in Thailand, Singapore and Taiwan. The 2016 Toyota Wish will carry over old engines that we can find in current model.
New Toyota Wish 2016 redesign
There are rumors that the new Toyota Wish 2016 is going to come with big facelift, and completely new front fascia, which means the new grille, headlights and completely redesigned bumper. It also might come with slightly bigger wheels and longer wheelbase, but this information still hasn’t been confirmed.
When it comes to interior design, layout and features, we will see some dramatic changes in 2016 Toyota Wish. It will come with improved material quality, with more attention to detail and more textured and soft touch surfaces, which are going to replace some of the hard plastic elements we saw in previous models. There’s also going to be a large seating reorganization, with introducing the new version with six seats, while seven seater is still going to be offered, for the same price as before. Other than that we expect higher trims to get the popular UConnect infotainment system, rated as one of the best systems of this kind in economy oriented vehicles.
2016 Toyota Wish specs
Like before, this model will come in both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive versions. Base Toyota Wish 2016 will come with 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine with 141 horsepower and 127 lb-ft of torque. There’s also a bigger engine on the offer, and it is 2,0-liter 4-cylinder with 150 horsepower and around 130 lb-ft of torque. This larger engine will also come with a new transmission system, 7-speed CVT. We recommend taking the larger engine, since the small one is really weak even for the MPV class, where you can’t find some top power and acceleration. We hope that Toyota is going to replace these engines in the next model year and introduce some larger and more powerful 4-cylinder for the base version, and turbocharged four that will come with higher trim levels.
New Toyota Wish 2016 release date and price
When it comes to price of the upcoming 2016 Toyota Wish minivan there’s still no information available. You should bare in mind that this vehicle is sold only in South-east Asia, not even Australia, so it is a little bit hard to find its price quotes and convert it to dollars. In addition to the regular price of the vehicle, possible buyers will also need to pay for the shipping costs and for custom fees. We could expect to see next Toyota Wish 2016 MPV in one of the last months of 2015.
