Toyota Prado 2016 midsize SUV is model from Land Cruiser range. Same vehicle is present in both 4Runner and Lexus LX570 ranges, where it comes with more luxury and off-road capability. In Land Cruiser range it is one of the smaller vehicles on the offer. It is in production since 1990 and current model is fourth generation vehicle, that’s been around since 2009. The 2016 Toyota Prado will come to the world market in last quarter of 2015.
2016 Toyota Prado redesign
In 2014 model year this vehicle received an exterior styling upgrade with revised taillights, new front fascia and some suspension changes. It became much more sporty looking than before, and since than there hasn’t been too many changes when it comes to this vehicle. That’s why we expect some larger changes for 2016 model year. We hope it will get a new grille and redesigned LED headlights. Toyota might decide to increase its off-road capability, which might lead to adding skid plates and bigger wheels.
2014 model’s interior was described by some reviewers as snug and robust fit. We crave for some interior change, since its been two years without anything going on. Toyota Prado 2016 will come with comfortable and supportive seats, same ones from 2014 model, but we hope that Toyota is going to add a little bit of curve to them, since in 2014 model year they were little bit too flt, which passenger mostly noticed during longer rides. It will come with its regular three rows and an easy access to the third row seats. There’s also a possibility that the new model will include leather wrapped steering wheel and door trim. Leather upholstery comes as a standard like before.
Toyota Prado 2016 specs
Performance segment of the 2016 Toyota Prado is probably going to stay the same, and come with the drivetrains we saw in the current Toyota Prado. Diesel version comes with 170 horsepower and 302 pound feet of torque, while the more stronger gasoline engine comes with much less torque, only 281 pound feet and 270 horsepower.
